Matthew Matt James born in North Carolina 5 December 1991. James is the child of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. His mother is caucasian and his father Nigerian. He graduated in 2010 of Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James became famous when he made his on-screen first appearance as a reality show star in The Bachelorette. In the year 2020, he was selected to be the next bachelor in season 25, making him the first African American male lead which will premiere in 2021. James was the best choice for the role, because he's well-rounded tall, athletic and has a good sense of humor. Rachael Krukconnell became his love interest at the close of the season. In 2021 he partnered with famous dancer Arnold for season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James along with Arnold finished 12th place.
