Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and popular comedians. She appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March, 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea began her stand-up show in the year 2011, following appearances in bits in several Irish television shows and British series from 2009. As early as 2012 she was on sitcoms or sketch comedy. Following her prize from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 She began appearing on numerous panels, and is currently a regular. From 2016 to 2017 she was a team captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant in the show's follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was awarded the So You think You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) was raised in the same home as Helen Moloney who was a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was also a professional jockey. Her family were racing and horse-related. Bea was a guide at her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her young years. She knew, however that it wasn't what she wanted to pursue in a career and she preferred to perform.
